August Le-Hoang (they/them/any) is the Properties Director of UNCSA’s "Troilus and Cressida" in the Spring 2026 season. They were previously the 2024 and 2025 Properties Director for "The Nutcracker" at the Steven Tanger Center for the Performing Arts, which sparked their love of being backstage and an interest in working on touring shows.
August has also held the position of shop purchaser for two years. The sourcing process, both in-person and online, is a challenge they enjoy, and it‘s helped cultivate their organizational skills. Their experience in the arts started in film, as a behind-the-scenes photographer, production designer and researcher.
They found joy in archival work, detail-oriented artisanry, florals, paper props, and graphic design. August hopes to experience a broad horizon of the arts, either through traveling with a tour or themed entertainment. They bring curiosity and determination to the complexities of entertainment arts.
