Averi Nozzerella is a second-year ballet major from Virginia Beach. She has been dancing since she was two years old at Virginia Beach Ballet Academy. She attended the Governor's School for the Arts in Norfolk, Virginia, for high school as well as graduating from First Colonial High School with an advanced diploma. Averi hopes to join a ballet company and travel after graduating from UNCSA.
Why did you want to become an Ambassador?
When I was in high school I had never heard about UNCSA, and I think the school has so much to offer — it is such an amazing and prestigious program that more students should know about. Also, coming in freshman year I didn’t know very much about the school and I want to make sure the incoming students feel prepared and ready to jump into this rigorous yet outstanding school and its curriculum.
What is your favorite spot on campus and why?
Studio A is my favorite spot on campus. It is the largest of all the dance studios and seeing the beautiful sunsets through the huge, gorgeous windows during an evening rehearsal is one of the best feelings.
