Cassandra is currently designing the set for UNCSA's Winter Opera production of Mozart's "Idomeneo," following her recent work on "Natasha, Pierre, and The Great Comet of 1812." These productions have reinforced her passion for hands-on problem-solving and deepened her interest in pushing the boundaries of scenic design through unconventional materials and immersive storytelling.
Before her graduate studies, she spent five years in entertainment technical management on cruise ships, developing a strong foundation in technical operations and creative collaboration. Originally from Malaysia, Cassandra brings a rich cultural perspective to her work and is drawn to untold stories. She believes in making bold design statements that bring diverse perspectives to every production, aiming to create visually compelling designs that evoke deep emotional connections with audiences.
