Karl Pil is a fourth-year Classical Ballet major in the School of Dance from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. During his time at UNCSA, Karl has been an active member of the UNCSA Welcome Squad, Student Engagement, Student Ambassadors, Dance Arts Council and Dance Social Media. He is passionate about sharing his love for movement and seeks to spread this joy through his work onstage, through online platforms and in discussions outside the studio setting. In his spare time, you can find him developing new choreography, playing volleyball on the hill, teaching Pilates in the fitness center or devouring his go-to chicken bacon flatbread from the Pickle Jar. He looks forward to seeing you around campus!
Why did you want to become an Ambassador?
I became a Student Ambassador to help showcase the incredible opportunities, expertise and community UNCSA has to offer! This place is one of a kind and has changed my life. I hope to show others the potential they can achieve at this school.
What is your fondest memory on campus and why?
Having the chance to perform as Snow King during Nutcracker Campus Night is a memory I will cherish forever. It was absolutely exhilarating and incredibly rewarding to hear the support and applause from my peers during our final bow. There's no better feeling in the world...
