Vince Jackson

Vincent Jackson Jr. is a multidisciplinary artist from Dayton, Ohio, with a background in martial arts, earning his black belt under the mentorship of Roger Haines. His passion and formal dance training developed at Stivers School for the Arts (2016–2022), studying under DeShona Pepper Robertson, Karen Hochwalt, Kirsten Ulrich, and Rodney Veal.

During his time at Stivers, he was honored with the Jeraldine Blunden Award and graduated as a principal dancer. Vincent is currently pursuing a BFA in Contemporary Dance at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, where he trains under the guidance of Brenda Daniels, Jared Redick, Laura Martin, Angelina Sansone, Sean Sullivan, Abigail Yager, Emily Nicolaou and Ming-Lung Yang.

His studies encompass Horton, Limón, Cunningham, Countertechnique, Release work, and both classical and contemporary ballet. His training at UNCSA has been pivotal in shaping his technical versatility and artistic voice. He has performed in works by renowned choreographers including Ashley Lindsey, Trey McIntyre, Juel D. Lane, Martha Graham, Darrell Grand Moultrie, Gaspard Louis, and Gavin & Vanessa Stewart. As he approaches graduation, Vincent aspires to be a meaningful and impactful presence within the dance community, blending physical discipline and expressive storytelling across forms.
