Drama Summer Intensive

Drama Summer Intensive

The UNC System has canceled all residential and face-to-face summer programs for summer 2020 due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. We will update with information about online options no later than Friday, April 10. For students enrolled in programs that cannot offer an online version, or students who are not interested in an online program, we will refund all payments. A schedule of refunds by program will be available no later than Friday, April 10. For questions, please email watkinss@uncsa.edu.

Faculty members of UNCSA’s internationally renowned School of Drama, along with distinguished guest artists, are the faculty in this summer intensive—which emphasizes the importance of the creative process that leads to excellent performance skills and a competitive edge.

The school’s multi-disciplinary approach to training for the stage, film and television carries over to the summer intensive. Here, young acting students—age 15 or rising high school sophomores and up—will spend their days focused on fundamentals of the craft: acting, dancing and singing. No previous experience is required; just the passion and persistence for a serious engagement with actor training in a conservatory environment.
