College Opening Day
The big day has arrived! Here are the next steps:
Step 1
- Park in Parking Lot N.
- University staff will give directions to your first stop in the Hanes Student Commons.
- Students bring a valid photo identification (drivers license or passport) or parents can vouch for their students, if parents have their own valid photo identification. Commuter students have an open check-in from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Aug 12. Residential students, please refer to your specific appointment date. Arrive on campus according to your appointment time on Aug. 12 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Please make sure to sign up for an appointment time on the Appointment URL if an appointment time has not been secured.
Step 2
In the Hanes Student Commons building you will:
- Check-in
- Pick up your Hold sheet and keep this with you throughout the entire check-in process. Plan to clear any holds — including Health Department holds, Financial Aid holds, Student Account holds, and Orientation holds — that must be cleared before parents leave campus. You can check holds information on the E-Z Arts student web portal.
- Pick up your parking decal if you will be parking a car on campus. If you have not registered for a parking decal, use the parking portal. If you have any questions or concerns about parking, email parking@uncsa.edu.
- At the One Card station you will turn in your hold sheet to pick up your One Card (your student ID). Here's how to add money to your One Card. Photos may be uploaded to the One Card upload URL July 3-July 20 to have your One Card waiting for you upon your arrival.
- Check in at the Mail Center to receive important information about your campus mailbox.
- Commuter students can skip to Step 4.
Step 3
Residential students: proceed to the Fitness Center to get your room key and parking pass. Return to parking Lot N and move your vehicle to the designated unloading zone and move into your room. Please display the parking pass you received during the check-in process. Artist Village parking passes will be green and Center Stage Apartment parking passes will be blue. The parking passes aid Campus Police and Residential Education directing move-in traffic.
Step 4
Students follow your new student orientation schedule on the UNCSA Campus App.
Parents follow the orientation schedule on the Families Orientation Website.
