Abigail Dowell, a South Florida native, received her foundational dance training at Ballet Elite Dance Studio. She is continuing her artistic development at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, gaining a deeper skill set in ballet, classic modern techniques and contemporary phrase work/floor work.
Inside the B.F.A. program, Abigail has been blessed with the space to experience a broad range of creative processes and voices inside contemporary dance with people such as: Kendall Ramirez, Gavin Stewart/Vanessa Owen, Gaspard Louis, Jim Vincent, and Robert Gosnell.
These spaces have allowed her to blossom into a contemporary dance artist most committed to experimentation and honest self-expression and is eager to continue to dedicate her time to pushing boundaries and exploring the vulnerability within this craft.
