Madi Schneider

Madi Schneider was born and raised in Dayton, Ohio where she trained in ballet, modern, jazz, contemporary, tap, and hip-hop. At fourteen, she joined her studio's pre-professional company, Dayton Dance Conservatory Company (DDCC), where working with a variety of choreographers and exploring choreography helped her discover a lasting passion for dance, a deep commitment to her artistic growth, and an understanding of the importance of kindness and compassion in creative collaboration.

Currently, Madi is pursuing her BFA in Contemporary Dance at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts (UNCSA). Here she has received training in techniques such as Cunningham, Limón, Countertechnique, Horton, West African, Release Technique, and Groundwork. Her performance experience with DDCC and UNCSA includes works by Christian Denice, José Limón, Juel D. Lane, and Gaspard Louis.

As she looks ahead, Madi is committed to refining her choreographic voice, sharing her knowledge through teaching, and contributing to the evolving landscape of contemporary dance through performance.
