Elizabeth Iwasko grew up in Rochester Hills, Michigan where she began dancing at the age of two. She became a competitive dancer at Spotlight Dance Works and in 2018 chose to continue her education at UNCSA. She is now a fourth-year student at UNCSA pursuing a B.F.A. in contemporary dance along with a minor in Art Entrepreneurship. She is the recipient of several scholarships including, the Chancellor’s Excellence Scholarship and the scholarship curated specifically for her by Interim Dean Jared Redick, the Dean’s Excellence Scholarship.
Elizabeth’s performance credits include works by José Limón, Robert Battle, Sonya Tayeh, Yoshito Sakaruba, Jenn Freeman, Trisha Brown and Ming-Lung Yang. She has also choreographed several works of her own and is passionate about finding new ways to engage audiences. In addition to dancing, Elizabeth is certified in teaching Classical Pilates Mat, the UNCSA Ambassador Program Director, and the curator of the @uncsadance Instagram.
