Withdrawal Policy and Tuition Rates

Pre-Primary, Adult Ballet, and Elective Classes (Semester Commitments)

If you withdraw prior to the first class, you will receive a full refund. If you withdraw prior to the second class, you will receive full credit on your account for a future Preparatory Dance class series. Tuition is non-refundable after the second class except for medical injuries. A doctor’s note must be provided to ensure a refund.

Primary A – Advanced Training Program (Full School Year Commitments)

• By September 1st: 100% Refund
• By October 1st: 75% Refund
• By November 1st: 50% Refund
• By December 1st: 25% Refund

After January 1st no refunds will be provided for students that withdraw from the program. The remaining tuition and all fees will be forfeited to UNCSA Preparatory Dance Program. Forfeited tuition may not be considered a tax-deductible donation. The parent/guardian will be responsible for all tuition payments due until the date the Preparatory Dance office receives notice of withdrawal in writing from the parent/guardian.

Payment Arrangements

Year-round student accounts may enroll in an 8-month payment plan: September 1st through April 30th at the time of registration. Families should include all electives for both semesters for one complete payment plan divided evenly across the school year. Please note that students with delinquent monthly accounts will not be admitted to class or eligible to register for the next program until their account is current.

Financial Assistance

The Preparatory Dance program has limited financial aid funds through the UNCSA Foundation Office for students at all levels whose financial situations necessitate assistance with expenses. Parents who wish to be considered for financial aid must apply upon acceptance, and re-enrolling students must reapply annually no later than August 15.
