Children's Division Ages 8-12

Ballet students ages eight to twelve may audition for Levels 1A through 3B to train at the UNCSA Preparatory Program. Faculty follow the graded ABT National Training Curriculum designed to strengthen technique, stamina, strength, and discipline through both practice and theory to understand the vocabulary and body mechanics of ballet technique.

Girls and boys have separate classes at least once a week to address the specific technical demands of each individual dancer. Students round out their study with Character dance vocabulary, jazz, stretch and strength, and performance ensemble classes.
