Break Information for High School Students

Break information

UNCSA provides free shuttle transportation to and from PTI airport during the breaks.

Note: Classes will be held on Labor Day. Refer to the Academic Calendar.

Residence Halls & Transportation

If your child is leaving campus with a non-parent or taking the UNCSA Airport Shuttle, make sure you or your student create an Overnight pass in Boardingware to include dates of departure and return, location, host, driver, and all modes of transportation to and from campus. The pass will need to be verbally confirmed with High School Residence Life staff prior to departure. If plans change in any way or you want to verbally confirm, call the Connector desk  at 336-770-3281. A new pass may be needed and confirmed to reflect a change of plans.

Wellness Center

Outstanding Balances
Health Services has sent paper copies of outstanding balances to UNCSA student mailboxes. Students should check their UNCSA mailboxes to see if they have an outstanding balance; that balance should be settled up prior to leaving for the break.

Medication Reminder
Students who have prescription medications secured in Health Services can pick up medications prior to break. Pick up times will vary according to student's arts schedules. If students return to campus with new prescription bottles, drop them off at the UNCSA Police Station and someone from Health Services will retrieve them the next day. If you have any concerns please contact Wellness Center for assistance.

Break Hours
During this period of time no in-person medical, counseling or athletic training services will be provided for students. During breaks students can still access medical support by calling the after-hours nurse triage service UNC Nurse Connect (formerly UNC HealthLink) at 984-364-4730. For mental health support, students can use Uwill teletherapy or call ProtoCall at 855-726-1497 to speak with a licensed counselor. Please note that students under 18 may not call ProtoCall alone.
