The Magic Comes Home
Relive the magic of holidays past as “The Nutcracker” makes a triumphant return to Winston-Salem and to its original home at Reynolds High School Auditorium for the upcoming season.
This cherished tradition brings Tchaikovsky’s iconic ballet score to life through the collaboration of students in the Schools of Dance, Music and Design & Production — with choreography by faculty member Ilya Kozadayev and live performance by the UNCSA Symphony Orchestra under the direction of returning “Nutcracker” conductor Karin Hendrickson(opens in new tab).
This celebratory homecoming honors tradition while celebrating the living artistry of each new generation that brings “The Nutcracker” to life.
Help Us Celebrate Where It All Began
Did you attend UNCSA’s first production of “The Nutcracker” at Reynolds Auditorium in 1966? As we return to our original home, we’d love to hear your memories and recognize you during the 2026 holiday performance season.
