High School Dance Admissions
UNCSA School of Dance offers high school programs for students with concentrations in Ballet (for grades 9-12) and Contemporary Dance (for grades 11-12). The application process includes an online application, required documents, and an audition.

On-campus Audition: Applicants who meet the Priority Application Date are granted early access to scheduling an on-campus audition. To qualify, applicants must submit by November 2, 2026:

Required application documents must be uploaded no less than two (2) weeks prior to a scheduled audition. There are a limited number of on-campus audition slots. Submitting by this date ensures best choice of dates.
On-campus Audition Dates:

Video Audition: North Carolina residents receive decisions in mid-March, but out-of-state residents meeting the Priority Application Date may receive an earlier decision. To qualify, applicants must submit by November 2, 2026:

Application Deadline: January 20, 2027
Applicants who meet the Application Deadline choose either an On-campus Audition or Video Audition. This is the final deadline for applying to the School of Dance.

Admissions Criteria

Completed Application, Fees & Required Documents
- Complete the online application.
- Pay the Application Fee: $95 for U.S. citizens and permanent residents, $130 for international
applicants. Application fees are non-refundable.
Payment Options- Online: Follow payment instructions at the end of the application or on your Admissions Portal.
- Check or Money Order (through a U.S. bank): Make payable to "UNCSA" and include your full legal name. Mail payment and fully legible name of the applicant to the Office of Admissions.
- International Applicants: Use Flywire to pay the application fee online through an international bank or pay by check or money order through a U.S. bank as listed above.
- Upload all Required Application Documents to by the deadline.
Please note: If applying to two different UNCSA art schools (Dance, Drama, Music and Visual Arts), complete a second application and pay the second application fee.
