You are an artist, not a number. The UNCSA Application was created by artists for artists, like you.
Before you begin your application, be sure you know which degree level is for you.
High School
Students who are graduating from middle school or looking to transfer from your current
high school to our UNCSA high school.
Undergraduate/ First-Time Freshman
High school/secondary school seniors, or high school/secondary school graduates who
have not attended a college or university. Includes home-schooled and dual-enrolled
students.
Undergraduate/ College Transfer
Students who have attended a college or university after completing high school/secondary
school and are in good standing at your current institution.
Undergraduate/ Readmit
Former UNCSA students who officially withdrew from the institution and are now seeking
readmittance into the same degree level.
Graduate
Students who have graduated or anticipate graduating from a 4-year college or university.
Professional Artist Certificate (School of Music only)
Students who have graduated with a Master of Music of Master of Arts who are seeking
a one-year graduate certificate.

Clery Act Notice to Prospective Students
A top priority of University of North Carolina School of the Arts (UNCSA) is the safety
and well-being of the campus community. To comply with the Jeanne Clery Campus Safety
Act, the university publishes an Annual Security and Fire Safety Report each year. This report includes information on campus safety policies and procedures,
prevention resources, and crime statistics for the past three years, covering incidents that occurred on or near campus. If
you would like to receive a paper copy of this report, you can visit the UNCSA Police
and Public Safety Department on campus (2010 Kenan Drive, Winston-Salem, NC 27127).
