Fundraising goal: $8 million
The creative industry is rapidly evolving, requiring a reimagined arts education. With deep expertise in cutting-edge technologies and techniques, our faculty help students transition seamlessly into their careers, leveraging their industry contacts to provide UNCSA’s emerging artists with exceptional opportunities.
With our low student-faculty ratio (9:1), UNCSA offers unparalleled mentorship and personalized instruction. With your help, we will recruit and retain the most qualified and diverse faculty available for our curriculum. Investing in UNCSA’s Teaching and Learning Center will provide pedagogical development for faculty to remain on the leading edge of their respective fields.
Internationally acclaimed mezzo-soprano Tichina Vaughn, who performs in this season's "Porgy and Bess" at the Metropolitan Opera, will return to UNCSA as artist-in-residence in the School of Music.
As an artist, being an integral part of an official exhibition at the 58th International Venice Biennale has been an incredible opportunity for Greg Walter--and a chance for him to share that opportunity with fellow faculty members, students and alumni.
UNCSA has awarded two new endowed professorships in piano - the Clifton Matthews Distinguished Professorship to Dmitri Shteinberg and the Eric Larsen Distinguished Professorship to Dmitri Vorobiev - that will help to ensure that top faculty members continue to thrive in the School of Music.
