Faculty Enrichment Day is August 15
Our annual Faculty Enrichment Day is usually the first day back to campus for most faculty―a day to celebrate and explore our roles as arts conservatory teachers. This year, Faculty Enrichment Day is August 15, 2019, and it begins at 8:15 a.m. for session sign up and 8:30 a.m. for a nice breakfast, in the lowest level of Hanes Student Commons. Following breakfast, there will be three blocks of 75-minute and 60-minute concurrent sessions and a wide array of teaching-related workshops, demonstrations, and conversations from which to choose. “Pull-Up-a-Chair” resource tables will be available for most of the day, with Learning Resources, the Writing Center/ESL, Police & Public Safety, and the Library representatives who are eager to chat about their respective services. A full buffet lunch is scheduled for midday. All in all, a wonderful way to reflect on and prepare for teaching, reconnect and network with colleagues, and kick off the new academic year.
