Natalie Winstead thrives during her year in the High School Drama Program

In just nine months at the High School Drama Program, Natalie Winstead has grown as an actor, singer and storyteller. From discovering acting through "Stranger Things" to earning YoungArts recognition and preparing for Carnegie Mellon, the UNCSA grad reflects on a transformative year of artistic growth, mentorship and meaningful connection.

Visual Arts students at UNCSA win multiple Mid-Carolina Scholastic Art Awards

Eighteen high school students at UNCSA have won a collective 52 awards in the 2026 Mid-Carolina Scholastic Art Awards. The students in the High School Visual Arts Program in the School of Design and Production collected 20 Gold Keys, 18 Silver Keys and 14 honorable mentions.
