Career Development Grants close on Dec. 8

All students are eligible to apply for a Career Development Grant (up to $1,000) to fund career exploration. Applications will be accepted until 12:59 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 8.

Pickle Pantry assisting students in need

The UNCSA Pickle Pantry is a free resource for college students in need. The Pantry provides healthy, fresh and shelf-stable foods as well as personal care items to enrolled students with a demonstrated financial need.

North Carolina has more than 550 cities, towns and municipalities. Most municipalities in North Carolina conduct elections in odd-numbered years. This is when voters choose who will represent them in local government offices, such as mayor and councilperson.

Academy Award-winner Troy Kotsur tells UNCSA grads to ''feed your spark...ignite your spark''

Academy Award-winning actor Troy Kotsur told graduates at UNCSA today that they should feed their spark. Chancellor Brian Cole signed the introduction of Dr. Troy Kotsur to the audience after presenting Kotsur with an honorary doctorate.

UNCSA M.F.A. graduates blend tradition and innovation in Stage Properties

During their time in the graduate Stage Properties concentration, both Henry Beard and Becky Hicks explored how traditional methods can meet modern innovation. Beard's focus on blacksmithing for props artisans and Hicks' on exploring conservation and restoration techniques are rooted in real-world challenges encountered during productions.

From the world's stages to Winston-Salem, René Barbera's global career is propelled by UNCSA

UNCSA alumnus René Barbera has appeared on the stages of the world's major opera houses and concert halls. He made his Metropolitan Opera debut in 2016, and has been delighting audiences at Teatro alla Scala, Paris Opera, Palau de les Arts, Opéra Royal de Wallonie-Liège, and Dutch National Opera, among many others.
