Scholarships

Please be aware that our scholarship resources are very limited. Your first resource for scholarships should be organizations in your community such as Rotary, booster clubs, churches, foundations and businesses. Additionally, the Anthony Quinn Foundation has a competitive scholarship program for high school students in the arts. 

A limited number of partial scholarships and fee waivers will be offered for American Harp Academy based on the following criteria: 

  • Proficiency and overall ability level as evidenced in your audition 
  • Recommendation from your music teacher attesting to your accomplishments in repertory, music theory and potential for musical growth 

Deadlines & Payment Schedule

Online application opens November, 2025 A completed online application, $50 non-refundable application fee, and recorded audition are required prior to applicant receiving acceptance into the program.  A $200 non-refundable deposit (payable after audition and acceptance) is required to reserve a spot in the program. 
Half Payment deadline April 15 Payment totaling 1/2 of the total due
Registration deadline May 1 After this date call to determine availability.  Students registering between April 15 and May 1 must pay 1/2 the total due immediately to secure their spot in the program. 
Payment in full deadline May 31 Payment in full due

Please note that fees are subject to change. Please call 336-817-5027 if you wish to set up a monthly payment plan. Payment plans must adhere to the payment deadlines above. Summer Programs are not eligible to accept funds from 529s. 

Cancellations

  • $200 non-refundable deposit due at registration: check or credit card. Students who have not paid the deposit will be marked as waitlisted until the deposit is paid.
  • Student withdrawal by May 1: Refund of half of the amount paid
  • Student withdrawal after May 1: No refund

In the event a program is cancelled by UNCSA, payments will be refunded in full.
