Summer Voice Apply & Audition

Eligibility

The Summer Voice Intensive is open to rising 7th graders through rising high school seniors.  Students less than 14 years old at the start of the program or rising high school freshman are not eligible to receive campus housing.  High school residential students reside in the Artist Village Residence Hall.  Students that live less than 25 miles from UNCSA must attend as commuter students. 

Application Details

To apply for the Summer Voice Intensive, complete an application at this link(opens in new tab) being careful to select the desired option and submit a recorded audition to shumperta@uncsa.edu no later than April 15, 2025. Applicants with completed applications and audition requirements will receive a decision within 7 to 10 business days.  Offers of admission are made on a rolling basis until add program spots and campus housing are full.  Applying early is recommended.

Audition Requirements

Please submit recordings of two contrasting solo pieces (accompanied or unaccompanied) in any style that showcase the auditionee at their best. Electronic submissions only, emailed to schumperta@uncsa.edu.
