Apply & Audition
Participation in the American Harp Academy is open to commuter and residential students aged 12 to adult.
Students must be at least 14 years old by the start of the program or a rising high school freshman to qualify for campus housing. Students living less than 25 miles from UNCSA must be commuter students.
Housing
- High School residential students reside in the Artist Village Residence Hall.
- Residential students over 18 and one year removed from high school may stay in the Center Stage Apartments apartment complex located adjacent to campus.
Application Instructions
To apply for the Summer Harp Intensive, complete an application at this link(opens in new tab) being careful to select the desired option and submit all audition materials no later than May 1, 2025. Applicants with completed applications and audition requirements will receive a decision within 3 business days. Admissions are conducted on a rolling basis. Housing and program spots may fill before the application deadline. Applying early is recommended.

Audition Requirements
Please upload a brief video recording (YouTube preferred) demonstrating your playing abilities, ideally a minimum of ten minutes in length with repertoire of your choice. This recording should be recent (within the past year) and display your playing in a solo environment. Submit audition video recording link to Jacquelyn Bartlett, bartlettj@uncsa.edu.
Suggested repertoire:
• Two prepared harp solos, memorization encouraged
• One new solo that is in the process of learning
