Excellence In Teaching Award Nomination Form

In a continuous effort to encourage excellence in teaching, the University System has established a series of teaching awards. As faculty, students, and alumni, you are instrumental in the process of fostering excellent teaching at the school through your nominations.

We ask that you take a moment to read the following criteria. You are invited to nominate any full-time permanent faculty member on campus (a maximum of two - one nomination per form) and provide written support of your nomination(s).

Nominations must be submitted using the form below by October 1, 2018.

Criteria

Faculty who are recognized for excellence in teaching shall demonstrate:

• Concern For Students
• Enthusiasm for the subject they teach
• The ability to motivate and fairly critique student effort
• The ability to fairly critique student effort and communicate that critique to the student
• Organization of Knowledge for student use
• Command of the subject being taught
• Up-to-date scholarship/creative work and awareness of recent developments in their field
• The ability to integrate professional development into their teaching
• Committment to the UNCSA community and the greater community
