The curriculum for the Summer Piano Intensive focuses on essential skills for any pianist and features private lessons, sight reading, masterclasses, concerts and more.

1-week course: July 6-11*
- 2 1-hour lessons
- Improvisation or Prodigy Lab workshop
- Sight-reading & Quick Study workshops
- Chorus (optional)
- Wednesday Master Class
- Friday Concert
- Outreach concert
2-week course: June 29 - July 11*
- 4 one-hour lessons
- Improvisation or Prodigy Lab workshop
- Sight-reading & Quick Study workshops
- Chorus
- The Piano Fight Club
- 2 Wednesday Master Classes
- 2 Friday concerts
- Multiple outreach concerts
- Off-campus day trip (July 6 or 7)
3-week course: June 22 - July 11*
- Four-hand /two piano piece with a fellow SPI participant (performed on July 13)
- 6 one-hour lessons
- Improvisation or Prodigy Lab workshop
- Sight-reading & Quick Study workshops
- Chorus
- The Piano Fight Club
- 3 Wednesday Master Classes
- 3 Friday concerts
- Multiple outreach concerts
- Off-campus day trip (July 6 or 7)
*Students check in on Sundays. Instruction starts the following Monday morning. Students
may leave directly after the conclusion of program activities on the final Friday
of their program but must leave their residence hall no later than 11:00 Saturday
morning.
