Message Notification Types
During adverse weather and/or emergency closures, suspension of non-mandatory operations for instances which are not truly emergency but reflect conditions on campus that compromise safety are explained below.
Message Types:
| Type | Description |
|---|---|
| Emergency Notifications | A message sent reference an incident or condition that requires immediate attention as required by the Clery Act. |
| Timely Warnings | A message sent about crimes that have already occurred but represent an ongoing threat and will aid in the prevention of similar crimes as required by the Clery Act. |
| Safety Advisory | A message sent out to inform the UNCSA community of general safety information. |
| Weather Notice |
A message informing of threatening weather conditions. |
| Test |
The system integrity is being tested. UNCSA Alert quarterly full system test will take place at 10:00 a.m. on the last Friday of January, April, July, and October each year. The test will include all UNCSA Alert communication channels and systems:
