Application Instructions

To apply for the Summer Visual Arts Intensive, complete an online application, submit your artwork portfolio consisting of 3 to 5 artwork examples uploaded to a single sharable folder, and provide a statement of interest using the link below no later than May 1, 2027. UNCSA Visual Arts Summer Intensives faculty and Community and Summer Program staff will review applications, send an admissions decision, and enable access for accepted students to complete their enrollment within 10 business days. Space is limited, and students will be admitted to the Visual Arts Summer Intensive in the order of their applications until program and residence hall spaces are full. The program utilizes rolling admissions and is expected to fill well in advance of the application deadline. Applying early is recommended. Students living 25 miles from UNCSA must attend as commuter students.
