SummerDance Professional Studies is thrilled to announce our 2019 Workshops with Sidra Bell, Peter Chu, and Victor Quijada. SPACE IS LIMITED! Apply early to secure your spot. 

Renew and refresh your skills as a dance artist! SummerDance Professional Studies offers professional dancers a one-week immersive study with some of today’s leading dance makers in our beautiful studios at UNCSA School of Dance. The workshops offer dancers the opportunity to dive deeply into the work of one renowned choreographer or dance artist.  You will study the styles and learn the repertory working with one these most sought-after choreographers.  Dancers will also attend a master class with the other participating choreographers.

Professional Studies: Session 1 with Sidra Bell or Peter Chu

NOTE:  The Peter Chu workshop is full as of 5/6/19.  Registrants after this date will be placed on a waitlist pending cancellations

Professional Studies: Session 2 with Victor Quijada

June 9-15, 2019


July 7-13, 2019

In 2019, choose to study for an entire week exclusively with either Sidra Bell or Peter Chu, and/or an entire week with Victor Quijada.

Each workshop is designed for one week of daily classes 10am-5pm and consists of technique class, style, vocabulary and learning of repertory. 

The workshops are open to advanced pre-professional and professional dancers. Must be 18 or over.  Housing in our UNCSA student apartments can be provided at an additional cost.

How to apply:

Choose which session and which artist you are interested in attending. You may only choose one choreographer per session.  You may attend both sessions.

  • In the subject line please indicate which session and which choreographer you are applying for (Session 1: Sidra Bell or Peter Chu; and/or Session 2: Victor Quijada)
  • In the body of the email please include your Name, Age, Phone Number, and Email Address, and if you will need campus housing. 
  • Attach your CV or Resume in pdf format
  • Include a link to a 5-minute unedited video of your dancing- this can be a clip from a performance, rehearsal or simply a 5 minute improv in the studio.  We want to get a sense of your movement.
